India vs South Africa Highlights: Follow Highlights and updates of third T20I between India and South Africa.
India fell short of equaling their record winning streak in T20Is as South Africa emerged victorious in a thrilling low-scoring match in Gqeberha. Despite spinner Varun Chakravarthy's impressive five-wicket haul, India could only manage to set a target of 125, resulting in their defeat. With the four-match series now tied at 1-1, India will be eager to reclaim the lead in the upcoming third T20I in Centurion on Wednesday.
The influence of spinners has been significant in the first two T20Is, but the dynamics may shift in the upcoming matches.
Follow highlights of India vs South Africa 3rd T20I below.
Chakaravarthy is back and Klaasen on fire! He smashes a short ball over midwicket for a massive SIX! And he does it again, sending another huge six towards midwicket. The ball almost went outside the stadium! Three in a row in the same region - talk about impressive! But oh no, Suryakumar Yadav drops Klaasen at the covers. Klaasen doesn't let that get him down though, as he celebrates with a four over covers. And to wrap up the over, a single.
Varun keeps going. He bowls a touch fuller and outside off, and Markram absolutely smashes it over long on for a massive SIX! Markram is really going after India's top bowler this series. Then, Varun bowls another full one, right in the slot, and Markram powers it over long on for another huge SIX! But, Varun has the final say! He goes short this time, Markram tries to loft it, but unfortunately for him, he finds one of the best fielders in the deep.
Stubbs is out leg before as he attempts a reverse sweep, and the umpire quickly raises his finger! Stubbs decides to review the decision. The ball tracking technology confirms three reds, and Stubbs has to make the long walk back to the pavilion. This is a crucial wicket for India, as Stubbs played a key role in South Africa's exciting win in the previous match.
Varun keeps going. He hits two singles off the first three balls. The next ball is short and outside off, and Markram smacks it past the cover fielder for a couple of runs. The over ends with a single, wrapping up a neat and tidy performance.
Varun Chakravarthy is on the attack. He got his first T20 five-wicket haul in the last match, and India will be looking for a repeat performance after giving away a lot of runs. AND HE DOES JUST THAT! Another googly, Hendricks tries to hit it but misses, and Samson is quick to stump him out!
Axar Patel is now bowling. He begins with a short delivery, Hendricks steps away from the ball, swings at it, and it edges past third man for a boundary. Another short ball, this time on the leg side, Hendricks makes room for himself and smashes it through covers for another four! Axar keeps bowling short and is punished once more. It's like déjà vu from the first delivery - another boundary!
The game continues as Hardik bowls a full delivery outside off stump. Rickleton drives it past mid off for a boundary! Oh no, a missed opportunity there! Another full delivery outside off stump, Rickleton goes for a lofted shot but Axar couldn't hold on to the catch.
Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks are kicking off the chase for the Proteas, with Arshdeep Singh starting off with the ball.
Arshdeep Singh pitches straight and maintains the line, leaving Rickleton beaten. South Africa gets on the board as Rickleton scores a single. Hendricks swings at a full and wide ball outside off, getting an outside edge and scoring a FOUR! Rickleton then cuts the ball to backward point, scoring another single and keeping the strike.
Ramandeep starts off with a single on the first ball. Tilak follows up with a quick single on the next ball. Another single is taken. Jansen is having a good over so far, bowling back of the length and Tilak is struggling. Tilak misses the ball once again, but Ramandeep still goes for a single. Unfortunately, the keeper throws the ball directly at the stumps and Ramandeep is run out. Now it's Axar Patel's turn to face the final ball, and he manages to take a single to end the over.
Ramandeep goes for another big hit, and although he gets a thick outside edge, the ball lands safely. It's a FOUR! The bowler delivers a full ball, and Ramandeep effortlessly powers it straight down the ground. Tilak follows suit, smashing the ball for another four! He reaches his century in just 51 balls. What a brilliant innings!
Coetzee is back in the attack and Tilak greets him with a massive SIX! The ball was full and Tilak slogged it over long on. And another one! What a fantastic shot. This time the ball was full on the pads and Tilak slogged it over square leg. Absolutely amazing hitting from Tilak. Coetzee switches to around the wicket and bowls a wide. Tilak manages to take a single off the next legal delivery. Then a bouncer goes over Rinku's head, resulting in a wide. Tilak hits a fantastic FOUR by ramping the ball over the keeper's head. Incredible batting display from Tilak!
Tilak hits the ball over cover and scores a four, a much-needed boundary for India. He follows it up with a SIX on the next ball, slogging it over square leg. And another four! This time, he slogs it towards midwicket. Tilak is on fire!
Maharaj delivers the breakthrough the Proteas needed! Abhishek attempted to advance down the track, but Maharaj cleverly bowled it wide outside off, causing the batter to miss the ball. Klaasen made an easy stumping behind the stumps!
Abhishek angles away from the ball and confidently steps down the track, smashing it through the line for a boundary! And now it's Tilak's turn. He faces a full delivery, gracefully dropping down on one knee to execute a powerful slog sweep over backward point for a maximum!
Simelane comes in for Jansen. A short ball is pulled over fine leg for a massive SIX! Abhishek steps down the track, creates some space, and smashes it for another SIX over covers! India reaches the 50-run mark. A low full toss just outside off, Tilak times it perfectly as the ball races past the mid-on fielder for a boundary!
Jansen caught Tilak off guard with a bouncer, but it ended up hitting his helmet and flying over the keeper's head for a leg-bye FOUR. The physio quickly came onto the field to assess Tilak as part of the concussion protocol.
Gerald Coetzee is up to bowl the second over. The first delivery is swung at and missed. Coetzee then decides to mix it up with a slower ball, but Abhishek patiently waits and pulls it for a boundary! The next ball is fuller and aimed at the leg stump, but Abhishek creates some space and smashes it through the covers for another four!

Aiden Markram: We are going to bowl first again. The wicket looks good. Not quite at our best. We are making slow progress. The bowlers did a good job in the last game. The batters need to spend time in the middle and not be too desperate. We have full trust in our batting unit and hope we do something special tonight.
Suryakumar Yadav: It is okay. We have done well in the last two games while batting first. The boys have come out with clear plans and executing it, I have been really happy with that. Just be clear, go out and enjoy yourself. These boys have made my job easier. We have one change - Ramandeep makes his debut. Avesh has done well for us but one of the two bowlers had to make a sacrifice.
Ramandeep Singh was presented with his T20I cap by Hardik Pandya.

Arshdeep has quickly risen to the same level as Jasprit Bumrah in terms of career T20I wickets, with both players currently sitting at 89 wickets. However, Arshdeep has achieved this milestone in just 58 matches, compared to Bumrah's 70. He is now on the cusp of matching Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the second-highest wicket-taker in T20I history for India, with just one wicket needed to equal Kumar's tally. The current record for most wickets in T20Is for India is held by Yuzvendra Chahal, who has an impressive 96 wickets to his name.
Varun Chakravarthy has impressively secured eight wickets in the initial two matches of this series. He is now on the verge of surpassing the Indian record for the most wickets in a bilateral T20I series, currently held jointly by R Ashwin and Bishnoi at nine wickets.
Over the past two days, there have been intermittent rain showers in this area. Fortunately, the weather is not expected to interfere with today's match. However, it has certainly had an interesting impact on the playing conditions.
