India vs New Zealand Live Cricket Score: The Men in Blue is locking horns with the Blackcaps at the Dubai International Stadium in their third and last game in the league stage. Stay tuned to this space for all the latest and live updates about the game.
India vs New Zealand Live Cricket Score: Team India is set to face the Kiwis at the Dubai International Stadium. It is the third and last league game for both teams and will have no impact in the semi-final qualifications. India and New Zealand have already qualified for the next round and Sunday's game will only reveal the topper of Group A. The last time the Men in Blue and the Blackcaps went head-to-head in the Champions Trophy was 25 years ago in 2000, which was won by New Zealand. In 50 overs, the Rohit Sharma-led side managed to score 249 on board, with the help of the 4th wicket partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel. On the other hand, Matt Henry took a fifer along with a brilliant showcase of fielding from the Kiwis which restricted India to below 250, which at once seemed easy.
Kuldeep Yadav wrapped New Zealand's innings after he took the wicket of Will O'Rourke in the 46th over. India win the game by 44 runs and now being the topper of Group A, the Men in Blue will now lock horns with Australia on the same ground on March 4. On the other hand, New Zealand will face South Africa in Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 5.
Varun Chakaravarthy, who earlier in the match dropped an important catch of Kane Williamson, has now removed New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner. This is his fourth wicket in the game. Indian side now just need two more wickets to win the game and become the topper of Group A.
Kane Williamson, who looked the only hope for the Kiwis out in the middle, has also departed courtesy of 'Bapu' Axar Patel. What a delivery!!!
On the very first ball of his 8th over, Varun Chakaravarthy took another wicket and that too an important one. Michael Bracewell dismissed at 2 as half of New Zealand batters are now in the pavilion.
It's another wicket for Varun Chakaravarthy as New Zealand lose their fifth one in Glenn Phillips. However, Kane Williamson is still out there in the middle and is inching closer towards his century.
On the second ball of his second spell, Ravindra Jadeja finally broke the 4th wicket partnership as he took in-form Tom Latham's wicket. After 32.2 overs, NZ are 133/4.
Rohit Sharma's decision to introduce spinners from both ends finally brought some respite to the Indian side. Kuldeep Yadav removed Daryl Mitchell as New Zealand lose their third wicket. NZ are 93/3 after 25.1 overs.
After 15 overs, NZ are 55/2 with Kane Williamson 24 (34) and Daryl Mitchell 1 (10) out in the middle. From both ends, spinners Varun Chakaravarthy and Axar Patel are deployed against New Zealand.
Chasing a 250-run target, the Mitchell Santner-led side scored just 44 runs on board and lost Rachin Ravindra in the first Powerplay. Will Young and Kane Williamson will look to build a partnership here as Rohit introduces spinner from both ends.
Axar Patel leaves no stone unturned in making his presence felt in the field. In the last ball of Hardik's second over, Rachin played a flick shot which Axar grabbed in his hand at deep third, dismissing the batter. Rachin departs at 6. NZ are 17/1 after 4 overs.
Chasing 250 runs, New Zealand's Will Young and Rachin Ravindra came out in the middle against India. Both the batters have scored one century each in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. For India, Mohammad Shami and Hardik Pandya take the bowling attack with new ball in hand.
With the wickets of Hardik Pandya and Mohammad Shami in the 50th over, Matt Henry restricted Team India to 249. Will Indian side with four spinner be able to defend this total against New Zealand? Stay tuned
Matt Henry strikes again as he picks Ravindra Jadeja's wicket. The partnership of Jadeja and Pandya was looking good in the death overs and Team India was hoping to breach the 250 mark but Henry put a dent on the dream.
In the 43rd over and after losing six wickets, Team India managed to touch the 200 mark with Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja out in the middle. Wicket nearly 6 overs left in the innings, the question will arise will India be able to cross the 250 mark?
Blackcaps' skipper Mitchell Santner began his second spell with the wicket of KL Rahul. He sent Rahul back to the dressing room at 23. After 40 overs, India are 185/6 with Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja out in the middle.
After losing four wickets, Rohit Sharma-led Team India crossed the 150 mark in the 34th over. Iyer smashed a brilliant SIX over the deep mid-wicket to bring 150 up for India.
Rachin Ravindra in his third over brought some respite to the Blackcaps as he removed Axar Patel at 42. However, the partnership of Patel and Iyer revived the Indian innings after the top-order failed to put runs on board.
Shreyas Iyer's half-century brings some respite to the Indian side as the Men in Blue suffered three early dismissals in the first Powerplay. Along with Iyer, Axar Patel is also playing a stabilised innings building up a good 4th wicket partnership.
After the departure of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer along with Axar Patel have taken the responsibility of putting a good total on board. Building up a good partnership with Patel, Iyer is inching closer to his half-century. After 20 overs, India are 78/3.
Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue suffered the loss of three top-order batters in the Powerplay, leading to a slow start at the Dubai International Stadium. With Iyer and Axar out in the middle, India are 37/3 after 10 overs.
The Blackcaps managed to keep Team India in control as Kyle Jamieson picked the wicket of skipper Rohit Sharma. With the departure of Rohit, now both the opening batters have returned back to the pavilion. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer are currently out in the middle. After 6 overs, India are 24/2.
After losing the toss, skipper Rohit Sharma announced the only change in Team India's playing XI against the Blackcaps. Pacer Harshit Rana has been replaced by spinner Varun Chakravarthy for the game at the Dubai International Stadium.
New Zealand's Mitchell Santner won the toss and opted to bowl first against India. Rohit lost three out of 3 tosses in the tournament so far. This will be the first time Team India will be batting first in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
