Follow highlights of IND vs BAN Women's Asia Cup match here.
Harmanpreet Kaur's India is poised to secure a spot in their ninth Women's Asia Cup final as they face off against Bangladesh at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla.
Having maintained an unbeaten record in the group stage, India enters the first semifinal with confidence and momentum. On the other hand, Nigar Sultana's Bangladesh team, despite a loss to hosts Sri Lanka in their opening match, has shown resilience with convincing victories over Malaysia and Thailand.
India has historically dominated Bangladesh in T20Is, boasting 19 wins in 22 encounters. However, Kaur and her team are not underestimating their opponents, especially considering Bangladesh's triumph over India in the 2018 Asia Cup. During that tournament, Bangladesh defeated India twice in four days, claiming their first-ever title and ending India's reign in the competition.
As India prepares to face Bangladesh once again, they are keenly aware of the challenge that lies ahead and are determined to secure a victory that will propel them to the final of the Women's Asia Cup.
Mandhana elegantly drops to one knee and sweeps the ball over square leg for a boundary. She follows it up with another four, gently guiding the ball through slip. With that shot, she reaches her half-century. And another boundary for Mandhana!
BANW 80/8 (20)
INDW 83/0 (11)
Smriti Mandhana steps up to the plate and shows off her skills where Shafali Verma fell short. Mandhana's technique is pure class as she elegantly gets on the backfoot and expertly nudges the ball behind point for a boundary. Not to be outdone, Shafali Verma makes up for it with a display of pure strength as she confidently goes down on one knee and powerfully swats the ball to the deep midwicket fence for another four runs.
First ball, and wicket! Radha dismisses Nigar, sending her back to the dugout for the first time in this edition after scoring 32 runs. Nahida Akter is the new batter in. And another wicket! Nahida goes for a big shot, misses, and the ball hits the stumps.
SIX! The gentle breeze seemed to assist in propelling the ball well beyond the boundary rope, leaving the fielders at square leg helpless. Dilara attempted another maximum, this time aiming towards square leg once more, only to be thwarted by Uma Chetry who expertly took the catch.

Nigar Sultana: We want to bat first. The wicket looks good. The ball was coming onto the bat nicely. They have been playing well. We need t work on our batting. We have one change.
Harmanpreet Kaur: We have played good cricket so far. Today also we want to back ourselves. They are a good side. For us, we need to focus on what we've been doing. We have a few changes.
