'Soul of Reliance..': Nita Ambani shares why Jamnagar holds a special place for Ambani family

Reliance Industries celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Jamnagar Refinery, the world’s largest refinery, which was a dream of the late Dhirubhai Ambani. Mukesh Ambani brought this vision to life, turning Jamnagar into a key part of Reliance’s journey.

At the event, Nita Ambani expressed her deep connection to Jamnagar, calling it the “soul of Reliance.” She described it as her “birthplace, workplace, and a place of devotion,” highlighting its importance to the Ambani family.

She also spoke about Kokilaben Ambani, the family’s matriarch, who was born in Jamnagar. “For Kokila Mummy, it is her Janmabhoomi, her land of birth. Her blessings and values have guided us all,” Nita Ambani shared.

The younger Ambanis also reflected on Jamnagar’s role in the family’s journey. Isha Ambani said her grandfather’s dream lives on in their hearts. Akash Ambani talked about modernising the city with new technologies like AI. Anant Ambani called Jamnagar the foundation of the family’s faith and service.

Despite challenges, Dhirubhai Ambani built the refinery in an underdeveloped area, transforming it into a hub of technology and progress. Mukesh Ambani’s efforts ensured his father’s dream became a reality, making Jamnagar a symbol of Reliance’s success.
