Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has revised its Work-from-Office (WFO) guidelines concerning exception/emergency requests. As per an official statement from the firm, personal emergencies may be cited as a reason for upto six days each quarter, Times of India reported. 

In addition, days that are not utilised cannot be transferred to the following quarter. As per the report by the outlet, the company's communication attempts to address the space constraints by allowing employees to submit up to 30 exceptions in a single entry.

Issues related to network can be cited for five entries at once. Exception requests that are not processed within 10 days will be automatically rejected. Regarding late submissions, the statement read, "Backdated entry will be allowed only up to two previous dates from the current date, and missing WFO entry category can be raised for the current month till the 5th of the subsequent month."

In a bid to establish stricter WFO regulations, the revisions have been made.
