Vandana Luthra's story is a perfect example of self-belief and determination. Starting with an initial investment of just Rs 20,000, she built a wellness empire now valued at around Rs 4,500 crore. Today, her net worth is estimated at Rs 1,300 crore, according to reports. This makes her a source of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Vandana’s journey began in 1989 when she founded Vandana Luthra Curves and Curves (VLCC) in Delhi. Inspired by her mother's charitable work, Vandana wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. She studied nutrition and cosmetology in Germany before returning to India, where she saw a gap in the wellness industry. At a time when wellness was seen as a luxury, Vandana’s vision was to make it accessible to all with clinically designed diet and exercise programs.

Her path was not easy. As a woman entrepreneur in the 1990s, Vandana faced societal challenges and doubts about her business idea. Despite the hurdles, her determination kept her going. By the 2000s, VLCC had grown significantly.

By 2023, VLCC had expanded to 311 centers across 144 cities, with over 10,000 women trained annually.
