Meet man who dropped out of school after class 10, washed dishes in hotels, now runs Rs 25000000 company

Sahil Pandita, the founder of Promiller, is a living example of how hard work and determination can transform a life filled with struggles into a success story. In 2018, Sahil launched Promiller, a company designed to help hotel owners manage their daily operations and cash flow efficiently. By the financial year 2023-24, the company earned a revenue of Rs 2.5 crore, cementing its place in the hospitality industry.

A Difficult Childhood
Born into a Kashmiri Pandit family, Sahil’s early life was marked by hardship. During the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, his family faced many challenges. His father, a government bank employee in Srinagar, lost his job, forcing the family to relocate several times before finally settling in a village near Chandigarh.

Sahil struggled with academics and preferred practical work. After finishing his 10th grade, he surprised his family by dropping out of school. His parents enrolled him in a mechanical engineering diploma course in Pune, but he left after three months, realizing it wasn’t for him.

Starting Small
In 2011, his family moved to Hubli, Karnataka. Determined to earn his own income, Sahil completed his 12th grade through the National Institute of Open Schooling while taking a job at Clarks Inn Hotel in Hubli. Earning just Rs 5,200 a month, Sahil started as a hotel operations trainee, doing tasks like cleaning toilets, washing dishes, and chopping vegetables.

Sahil’s determination led him to bigger opportunities. He worked at ITC Hotels, where he proactively learned various hotel operations. His hard work earned him a spot at the ITC Hospitality Management Institute, where he received training and a stipend.

Rising Through the Ranks
By 2014, Sahil was working as a team lead at Hyatt Regency Delhi, earning Rs 30,000 per month. His leadership skills soon got him promoted to shift manager. Later, he joined Taj Hotels as a duty manager and gained extensive experience in property management and financial audits.

Building Promiller
In 2018, Sahil turned his vision into reality by founding Promiller, a hotel asset management company. Today, Promiller is a growing business, helping hotel owners optimize their operations and achieve financial stability. Sahil’s journey, from earning Rs 5,200 a month to running a successful company, is an inspiring tale of perseverance and ambition.
