'I love staring at my wife': Anand Mahindra's veiled dig at SN Subrahmanyan over work-life balance

Industrialist Anand Mahindra shared his approach towards work-life balance and revealed how he manages his online presence alongside his personal and professional life. 

Meanwhile, his remarks on work-life balance is being seen by many as a veiled dig at L&T chairman SN Subrahmanyan who advocated 90-hour-work week. 

In an interview with Firstpost, Mahindra was asked about how many hours he devotes to social media. He remarked, "I am on X not because I am lonely. My wife is wonderful, and I love staring at her". 

"I am on scial media because it is an amazing business tool. On one platform, I get feedback from 11 million people", he added. 

Emphasising quality over quantity, Anand Mahindra added, "Ask me about the quality of my work, not how many hours I work.”

When Subrahmanyan's take on work-life balance sparked criticism 

Recently, SN Subrahmanyan invited criticism and outrage on social media through his remarks on work-life balance. 

"I regret I am not able to make you work on Sundays, to be honest. If I can make you work on Sundays, I will be more happy, because I work on Sundays also", he said. 

Adding further, Subrahmanyan said, "What do you do sitting at home? How long can you stare at your wife? How long can the wives stare at their husbands? Get to the office and start working.”
