'Won’t say Amitabh Bachchan became big...': Moushumi Chatterjee says actor changed after achieving success

Moushumi Chatterjee won people's hearts with her beauty and acting. During her career, she worked with many famous actors like Jeetendra, Rekha, Mithun Chakraborty, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, and others.

Recently, Moushumi talked about working with Amitabh Bachchan and shared her thoughts on his rise to fame. In a chat with Anandabazar Patrika, Moushumi shared details about Amitabh Bachchan's early struggles in his career. She pointed out that it took all of his strength and hard work for him to achieve such great success.

She stated, "Amitabh Bachchan struggled a lot and became big after a lot of hard work. But I won’t say he became big for the better. When you receive so much, you behave very differently. You won’t even think about helping others."

Chatterjee also remembered how Amitabh Bachchan's life and behavior changed after he gained huge fame. She noted that, in the beginning, even though he was a quiet person, Amitabh would enjoy having lunch with the hairdresser on set.

Ajitabh Bachchan, his brother, would arrangea car to ensure the actor's travel. She mentioned, "His (Amitabh’s) brother Ajitabh used to arrange for a car that would pick up Bachchan from the sets. He used to be a very quiet person, sit alone, and have lunch with the hairdresser.”

Moushumi also talked about her time working with Amitabh Bachchan on Piku. She praised his discipline and punctuality, mentioning that even at the age of 72, he displayed the energy and excitement of someone just starting out. She added, "Even at 72 (back in 2015), Amit is like a newcomer. If you ask him to get ready at 6 am, he will be ready. He is so punctual and disciplined.”

Moushumi Chatterjee and Amitabh Bachchan have appeared together in several films, such as Roti Kapada Aur Makaan, Benaam, Hum Kaun Hai?, Manzil, and more.
