Veer Pahariya is making his acting debut with the upcoming action thriller Sky Force, whose trailer was launched at a grand event in Mumbai on Sunday, January 5. Even before Veer's debut, he and his twin brother Shikhar Pahariya were linked with Bollywood as the two dated Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. The two relationships ended after breakups, but Shikhar reunited with Janhvi and they are back again.
Veer too has reunited with Sara but not in a relationship. The two shared screen space in Sky Force as Veer plays Sara's husband and an Indian Air Force officer in the film, who gets lost in Pakistan after India launches an airstrike against the neighbouring nation during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965.
During the trailer launch, when Veer was asked about if his familiarity with Sara helped him in his debut movie, he thanked the Love Aaj Kal actress and replied, "She was very supportive. She has a lot of experience in the industry already so she helped me a lot. I am very grateful. Thank you, Sara."
Apart from Veer and Sara, Sky Force also stars Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur, and Sharad Kelkar in the leading roles. The film is based on India's retaliatory attack on the Sargodha airbase of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965, described as India's first and deadliest airstrike.
The film is bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films, and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios. Marking Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani's directorial debuts, Sky Force will release in cinemas worldwide on January 24, 2025, in the Republic Day weekend.
