'Tera baap, Hindustan': Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya pilot anti-Pakistan war saga in Sky Force; Trailer out

Akshay Kumar has kickstarted 2025 with the patriotic film Sky Force, co-starring Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur. The makers on Sunday unveiled the much-awaited trailer, leaving fans excited for the anti-Pakistan war saga.  The film is inspired by India's first and most lethal airstrike. The movie will also mark the highly anticipated debut of Veer Pahariya.

The trailer offers glimpses of Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya playing Indian Air Force officers, but a dramatic twist unfolds as Veer's character goes missing. Sara portrays Veer's devoted wife, who anxiously awaits his return. Nimrat Kaur's role remains a mystery. The intense fighting sequence in "Sky Force" is electrified with patriotic fervour, particularly when Akshay Kumar's character responds to the Pakistani army's inquiry about his location with the bold and defiant dialogue, ‘Tera baap’.The trailer concludes on a poignant note with Lata Mangeshkar's timeless classic, ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo.’

Fans are delighted to see Akshay return with a patriotic drama. “That dialogue ‘tera baap Hindustan" goosebumps,” commented a user.  “Ye movie All time Blockbuster hogi,“ said another user. However, some of the netizens drew comparisons with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter. A user wrote, “Fighter jesi lg rhi” Another added, “Why is it looking very similar to Hrithik's Fighter???”

Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, this high-octane action film also has Sharad Kelkar in a key role. With action choreography by Craig Macrae,  the film promises to deliver heart-pumping sequences that complement its gripping narrative. The film is set to arrive in theatres on January 24, 2025.
