Shatrughan Sinha breaks his silence on reports of undergoing surgery, reveals why he was hospitalise: 'I'm no longer...'

Shatrughan Sinha was recently admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and the news surfaced on social media leaving his fans worried about him. However, now the veteran superstar has finally broken his silence and given an update on his health. 

In an interview with Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha shared his health update and said, "I am fine, absolutely fine. So much speculation! The Mumbai entertainment media is so starved for news, they write anything." 

When asked if he had fallen off his favourite sofa, Shatrughan Sinha said, "Isspar mein bas yehi kahunga…..sofa so good, ha ha. Lataji ka ek gana hai, 'Main sofe se gir padi' (in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Gol Maal). Jokes apart, I don't have any favourite sofa. Arrey bhai when do I have the time to loll on my sofa? Let alone fall off it." 

Shatrughan Sinha further broke his silence on undergoing surgery and said, "I know where it is coming from. But since that person is my well-wisher and doesn't mean any harm I won't say anything. I even read that I had a minor surgery in the hospital. Surgery k……Khamosh! Arrey bhai, mujhe surgery hui aur mujhe khud nahin maloom?"

He further revealed the reason behind his hospitalization and said, "Just my annual routine full-body checkup. I recommend it for everyone over 60. I've been traveling for my election campaigning nonstop for three months. Then right after my daughter got married. I am no longer that hotblooded energy-driven young man who could do three shifts a day and still have the energy to party all night. I need to slow down. As long as I have well-wishers friends and fans, no harm can come to me." 

Meanwhile, Shatrughan Sinha was recently seen enjoying with his wife at his daughter Sonakshi Sinha's wedding reception with Zaheer Iqbal in Mumbai. The couple is now on their honeymoon and has been sharing cozy pictures on Instagram with their fans.
