Shahid Kapoor was 'insulted' by Sanjay Leela Bhansali during Padmaavat? Netizen's claim stuns fans: 'If he said...'

Shahid Kapoor is geared up for the release of his upcoming film Deva. While promoting the actioner, Shahid spoke about his career setbacks and how he felt less than a star even before Kabir Singh. Shahid's podcast with Raj Shamnani has gone viral, and now one of the netizens has made a shocking claim about Shahid's experience during Padmaavat. 

One of the netizens with the username @narenart88 claimed that he worked in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, and at that time, Shahid's suggestions were ignored by Bhansali, and he even 'insulted' the actor. The netizen, seemingly a crew member wrote that Ranveer Singh (who played Alauddin Khilji) was at his peak and was not even giving secondary shots, whereas Shahid used to give all shots, and would even shoot with Ranveer's dupe. 

The netizens wrote, "True man really, i was working on Padmaavat, Ranveer was on their peak time, and Shahid was in down time, Ranveer avoiding secondary shots, dup was, dup was taking care those shots, and Shahid, giving all the shots if he said something, the director was not listening and he insults shahid. Time matters."

This has to be considered that Shahid was not happy with the final outcome of Padmaavat, and has often voiced his dissatisfaction with working in Bhansali's film. In several interviews, Shahid said that he felt 'short-changed', and he went on to say that didn't like himself in the film. 

In the 2018 blockbuster, Shahid played Maharawal Ratan Singh, husband of Rani Padmavati (Deepika Padukone). The movie was released with critical praise, but mostly to Ranveer and Deepika. Shahid was sidelined, and that left a bad memory for Shahid. Recently, Padmaavat completed seven years, and on this occasion, Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced the re-release of Padmaavat. The film will again hit cinemas on February 7, 2025.
