Shahid Kapoor reveals if his 'actors full of themselves' remark was a dig at Salman Khan: 'If I want to...'

Shahid Kapoor is awaiting the release of his upcoming action thriller titled Deva. The actor has been leaving no stone unturned to promote his film and during his recent podcast with Raj Shamani, Shahid even took a dig at those actors in th Hindi film industry who are full of themselves.

When the Kabir Singh actor was asked how does he identify who's real in the industry, he replied, "Unke face ke expressions se", and went on to mimick some actors. He added, "Aate hain kuchh log aise, ki main aa gaya hun types. Woh dikh jaata hai bro, 30 seconds mein pata chal jaata hai. When they enter a room they want to make you feel like they have entered the room. It’s okay, it’s a room full of people, you have also entered, chill bro. Toh woh toh hai, there are lots of people who have this."

When this clip went viral on social media, netizens assumed that Shahid was taking a dig at Salman Khan or Kartik Aaryan. On Tuesday in an interview with HT City, when Shahid was directly asked if his remark was a dig at Salman, he denied that he was talking about the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star and added, "Haan but mujhe ek-do logo ne message kiya aisa soch ke. Main toh honestly naa aise hi baat kar raha tha, socha bhi nahi tha. But if I want to take a dig, it will never be at somebody who is so senior, so established and who I have so much respect for. Just to clear that out."

Coming back to Deva, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulatie, Pravessh Rana, and Kubbra Sait in pivotal roles. Directed by acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews and produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, the film is slated to release in cinemas on January 31. It is rumoured to be a remake of the 2013 Malayalam thriller Mumbai Police.
