The chargesheet filed in the Salman Khan house firing case revealed some chilling conversations between jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol Bishnoi and the shooters before the shooting.
In the chargesheet filed in the Salman Khan firing case, Mumbai Police has alleged that Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, instructed a gunman to fire shots in the air outside the Bollywood superstar's home to scare him.
In the 1735-page chargesheet filed before a special court, the Crime Branch has audio clips and transcripts of conversations between the shooters Vicky Kumar Gupta, Sagar Pal, and Anmol Bishnoi ahead of the firing. As NDTV reported, the chargesheet says, that Bishnoi allegedly told shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal not to wear helmets and smoke cigarettes to appear fearless in the CCTV footage. Anmol also allegedly told the shooters 'Salman Khan should get scared'.
Actor Salman Khan's statement in the chargesheet
In his statement, Salman said that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi carried out the firing outside his home to kill him and his family. As India Today reported, the statement recorded by the anti-extortion cell of Mumbai Crime Branch is a part of the 1,735-page chargesheet that police filed earlier in July. In the chargesheet Khan shared details of threats he and his family have been receiving from Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang members for years.
On July 8, Mumbai Police filed a charge sheet in a special court against six arrested accused and three wanted persons, including jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in connection with the firing at Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence in Bandra in April.
The 1,735-page charge sheet was filed by the crime branch in a special MCOC court. It included various investigation documents incorporated in three volumes, an official said. The evidence includes statements of 46 witnesses and statements of witnesses under section 164 of CrPC recorded before the magistrate, he said.
The confessional statements under the MCOC (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime) Act, a total of 22 panchanamas, and technical evidence are also part of the charge sheet documents, he said. Two motorcycle-borne men fired five rounds outside Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Bandra in the early hours of April 14.
