Salim Khan reveals why Salman Khan is still single, says actor wants her to give up career: 'Usko convert karne ki...'

Salman Khan still holds the title of the most eligible bachelor of Bollywood. At 59, Salman Khan is still unmarried, and one of the major reasons behind this is the actor's expectations from his partner. An old interview with Salman's father, Salim Khan has resurfaced and went viral. 

While speaking to Komal Nahta Salim Khan revealed that Salman’s unwillingness to marry arises from his conflicting expectations. The Sholay co-writer said that Salman’s thoughts about marriage are at odds with his actions. "Salman ka pata nahi kya hai… Salman ki ek toh is wajah se bhi shaadi nahi hoti hai ki thoda sa contradiction bhi hai Salman ki thinking main." 

Salim Khan also revealed that he gets attached to his co-stars. He said, "Salman ka lagao ya mohabbat… he’s attracted to the person jiske saath kaam karte hain. They are very exciting, good-looking people."

Salim later remarked that after entering a relationship, Salman looks out for qualities reminiscent of his mother in his partner. According to Salim, this expectation, creates tension, as Salman wants a career-oriented woman to give up her ambitions and focus on family life.

Salim remarked, “Why should one deprive her? Ki main shaadi karke ghar baitha doonga? Uska vahi hota hai.” Salim criticised the notion of expecting women to abandon their careers. He added, “Jab commitment ho jaata hai toh voh usko convert karne ki koshish karta hai, usme apni maa dhoondta hai. Woh toh possible nahi hai.”

Salman Khan has been linked several times with his co-stars. He was reportedly dating Shaheen Jaffrey, Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali, Faria Alam, Aishwarya Rai, and Katrina Kaif. He's currently linked with Iulia Vatur. 

On the work front, Salman will be seen in action-thriller Sikandar. AR Murugadoss directorial also stars Rashmika Mandanna. The movie will be releasing in cinemas on Eid 2025.
