Mika Singh claims working with Bipasha, Karan Singh Grover was 'horrible', says they created 'drama kissing each other'

Singer and music composer Mika Singh opened up about his 'horrible' experience working with Bipasha Basu and her husband actor Karan Singh Grover. For the unversed, Mika ventured into production and produced a show Dangerous (2020) with Vikram Bhatt as director, and Karan-Bipasha in the lead. 

In an interview with the KADAK YouTube channel, Mika Singh shared that his initial plan was to cast Karan Singh Grover along with a fresh face. Mika said, “I wanted to cast Karan Singh Grover and a newcomer girl so that the project remains under budget, and we make something nice, but Bipasha Basu jumped into it and was like, ‘We can both be part of this series’. They didn’t exceed the budget, but the experience was horrible."

The Singh is Kinng singer further explained why his experience of producing the show became a nightmare, "I took a team of 50 to London for a month-long schedule. However, it was extended to two months. Karan and Bipasha created a lot of drama. They were a married couple, so I booked a single room for them. But, they were like, ‘No, we need our separate rooms.’ I didn’t understand the logic. They then demanded to move to a different hotel. We did that as well,” he added.

Singh further said that Karan fractured his leg while shooting a stunt scene, and they even created issues while dubbing the film. "They were giving excuses that they had sore throats and other things. I couldn’t understand the drama, especially when they were paid for their work.” The singer was amused that the real-life husband-wife created issues about kissing. “They are husband and wife, and yet they created drama around kissing each other on screen,” Mika said. On the work front, Bipasha and Karan have taken a break as they are busy parenting their daughter Devi Singh Grover Basu.
