Athiya Shetty's Early Life and Career

Born to actor Suniel Shetty, Athiya Shetty, affectionately known as Attu-Pattu, spent her formative years at the American School of Bombay. Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff were her seniors by two years. The star kid pursued higher education at the New York Film Academy, graduating with a degree in Filmmaking and Liberal Arts. Additionally, she refined her dancing skills at Remo D'souza's Dance Academy. Her inspiration to pursue acting stemmed from witnessing Aishwarya Rai on the sets of Umrao Jaan. She made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with Hero, alongside Sooraj Pancholi. She went on to star in Mubarakan (2017) and Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019). All three films faced their worst fate at the box office. 

Athiya’s linkup rumours

There were rumours that Athiya had a secret three-year relationship with Aditya Bhandari, son of Vanita Bhandari, director of DBS Business Centre. The rumours suggested that the couple parted ways a few months prior, but remained on amicable terms. However, it was alleged that Aditya moved on and started dating someone else by the end of the previous year, potentially leaving Athiya heartbroken. It's worth noting that she has been subject to various link-up rumours throughout her career. Following her Bollywood debut in 'Hero' alongside Sooraj Pancholi, there were rumours of a romantic connection between the two. Later, she was also linked to Arjun Kapoor. However, she has consistently dismissed these rumours, stating that she doesn't let them bother her.

Athiya's fairytale wedding with KL Rahul

Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul tied the knot on January 23, 2023, after several years of dating. The couple's relationship rumours began circulating in 2019 and gained traction when photos of their Thailand vacation surfaced online. In November 2024, Athiya and Rahul shared the joyful news of their impending parenthood through a joint Instagram post. The post featured a heartfelt note announcing, "Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025. Athiya and Rahul." 

As she embarks on this new chapter, Athiya has taken a break from her acting career to focus on her growing family. Despite taking a break from the film industry in 2019, she continues to live a life of luxury. Although her last few films didn't fare well at the box office, she remains a sought-after celebrity endorser, earning crores of rupees through brand advertisements.
