Kartik Aaryan, born in Gwalior, came to Mumbai to study engineering. He deliberately chose a college in his dream city so that he could fulfill his goal of making an acting career. When he was signed for 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' (2011), he kept this news hidden from everyone. In those days, Kartik Aaryan used to only get Rs 1500 as pocket money from home.

Kartik Aaryan did not tell his friends or family members until the shooting of his first film was completed because he did not believe in his luck. No one knew until the film was released, but when the film started getting a positive response, he told everyone at home. At first, his parents scolded him a lot, but later when their son became a star, they too became happy.
After 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama', Kartik Aaryan worked in many superhit films such as 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2', 'Pati Patni Aur Woh', 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', 'Luka Chuppi', 'Satyaprem Ki Katha', and 'Chandu Champion'.
His upcoming films include 'Aashiqui 3', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', and many other projects.
