Luv Sinha slams 'online campaign' against him for skipping Sonakshi Sinha's wedding with Zaheer Iqbal: 'My family...'

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal  tied the knot on June 23 in a civil marriage at the former's new apartment in Bandra West, Mumbai. Sonkashi's parents, including the veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, and Zaheer's parents, including businessman-jeweller Iqbal Ratansi, blessed the newlyweds at their wedding

The couple also held a lavish reception at Bastian, Mumbai, which was attended by various Bollywood celebs such as Salman Khan, Kajol, Rekha, Anil Kapoor, Chunky Panday, Tabu, Aditya Roy Kapur, and others. Photos and videos from their wedding and reception went viral on social media.

However, what drew the most attention was speculation on the absence of Sonakshi's brothers Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha from her wedding festivities. While Kussh attended the civil marriage, Luv chose to skip the festivities altogether. On Sunday, June 30, Luv took to his X (previously known as Twitter) account and wrote, "Why I chose not to attend. Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me my family will always come first", he wrote.

Earlier, while speaking to Hindustan Times, when he was asked why he didn't attend his sister's wedding, the Gadar 2 actor said, "Please give it a day or two. I’ll respond to your question then if I feel I can. Thank you for asking." When the reports had emerged about Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding, Luv had told ETimes, "I’m out of Mumbai at the moment, and if it’s regarding the news published, I have no comment or involvement in the matter."
