Kartik Aaryan is now engineering graduate, gets his degree after 10 years: 'From sitting in backbench to...'

Kartik Aaryan had achieved another milestone. After breaking box office records last year, Kartik started 2025 on a big note. After a decade, the actor is now an engineering graduate, and he visited his college, DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, to collect his degree. The actor was invited to his convocation ceremony, and he was welcomed with lots of love and huge fanfare. 

Kartik shared this special moment with a reel on his Instagram with the caption, "From sitting in the backbench to standing on the stage for my convocation - what a journey it’s been. DY Patil University, you gave me memories, dreams, and now, finally, my degree (only took over a decade!). Thank you, Vijay Patil Sir, my incredible teachers, and the young dreamers here for all the love- this feels like coming home!"

In the reel, Kartik is seen sharing his excitement while leaving his home. "Degree lene ja raha hoon." As soon as he arrived, college students mobbed him, and Kartik greeted them with a smile. In the packed auditorium with students and teachers, Kartik was asked to share his thoughts. The actor acknowledged his teachers and thanked them. The highlight of the event was when Kartik took to the stage and danced alongside the students to the energetic beats of the title track from his film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

The fans presented Kartik with gifts, and graciously accepted. One emotional moment captured a female fan overcome with excitement, breaking down in tears in front of him. While taking an exit from the campus, Kartik pointed out, and shared a fond memory, saying, "I used to put water here, just like a water boy." For the unversed, Kartik was pursuing engineering when he got his Bollywood break with Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011.
