In her latest video, Kangana Ranaut expressed a deep concern regarding her film Emergency's absence from Punjab cinemas.
Kangana Ranaut took to social media to share a video expressing her sincere gratitude to audiences for their love and support for her latest film Emergency. However, she also voiced her disappointment as the film's release is facing hurdles in Punjab and the ongoing tensions affecting the Indian diaspora abroad.
Taking to her social media handles, Kangana shared a video in which she said, "On behalf of Zee Studio, Manikarnika Films, and all the members of Ease My Trip, I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You all gave so much love and respect to our film. We don't even have words to express our gratitude."
Despite this appreciation, Ranaut expressed a deep concern regarding the film's absence from Punjab cinemas. "But, I still have some pain in my heart. Punjab. In the industry, it was said that my films perform the best in Punjab. And today is a day when my film is not even allowed to be released in Punjab. In the same way, some attacks are being carried out on people in Canada and Britain. Some small people, some small-minded people have set this country on fire. And you and I are burning in this fire", she added.
Kangana emphasised that Emergency reflects her personal beliefs and stance on national unity. "Friends, my film, my thoughts, and my attitude towards the country are reflected in this film. You decide for yourself after watching this film. Does this film connect us, or does it break us? I will not say more. Jai Hind. Thank you."
Immense gratitude

The political drama Emergency has Kangana Ranaut portraying the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. It marks her solo directorial debut after she shared directing credits with Krrish for her 2019 period drama Manikarnika. Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, and Mahima Choudhry also play pivotal roles in Emergency.
