Does Janhvi Kapoor pay for social media praise, positive comments? Actress reacts, 'itna budget...'

Janhvi Kapoor is proving her acting chops with every next film. The actress who was last seen in the successful sports drama Mr & Mrs Mahi reacted to the claims of paying for social media praise and positive comments. 

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Janhvi said that whenever her work gets appreciated on the internet, a section of netizens called it PR stunts, or paid posts. When she was informed that her performances do get appreciated, Janhvi joked, "Paise khilwa ke bulwa rahi hu (I am paying them to say it)."

When asked how she looks upon her journey, Janhvi said, "Main khud ke baare me kaise baith kar bolu, ‘Main na badi confident ho gayi hu, bade acche acche performances de rahi hu’? Main khud nahi keh sakti na (But how can I sit and say about myself, 'I have become very confident; I am giving very good performances'? I can't say it myself).”

Talking about the claims about her social media and her PR, Janhvi said, “Main jab dekhti hu na social media par galti se koi bhi tareef kar leta hai na toh yeh bolte rehte hain ki ‘Yeh toh iska PR hoga'. Main bolti hoon ‘Nahi itna budget nahi hai ki main logon se tareef karwaun' (Whenever I see someone praising me even by mistake on social media, they keep saying, 'This must be her PR’). I say 'No, I don't have enough budget to pay people to compliment me'.”

On the work front, Janhvi will next be seen in the espionage thriller Ulajh. Helmed by national award-winning Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh boasts a stellar cast including Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang, and Meiyang Chang alongside Janhvi Kapoor. The film, scripted by Parveez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Saria with dialogues penned by Atika Chauhan is set to release in theatres on August 2 and is set to clash with Ajay Devgn and Tabu's Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.
