Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh make their first public appearance after Dua's birth, fans call them 'royal couple'

Bollywood's power couple, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, were spotted at a family wedding on Friday, marking a rare public appearance together since the birth of their daughter, Dua. The duo turned heads in traditional attire, channelling their Bajirao Mastani vibes. Deepika stunned in a pink embroidered anarkali suit, complete with heavy jewellery, reminiscent of her iconic Mastani look. Ranveer looked dashing in a white embroidered sherwani.

As they exited the wedding venue, Ranveer gallantly assisted Deepika to their car and sealed the moment with a romantic kiss before getting in. The video was shared on Instagram and fans flooded the comment section with love and admiration for the new parents. A fan wrote, “Bajirao with her Mastani.” Another fan commented, ‘Royal couple’. Some also commented on their traditional looks, and said they look ‘regal’.

Ranveer's family was also well-represented, with his mother Anju Bhavnani and grandfather, affectionately known as his ‘Rockstar Nana’, spotted leaving the venue.  Besides them, the wedding also saw celebrities like cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, his wife Anjali, and daughter Sara in attendance. Other notable guests included politician Raj Thackeray, socialite Orry, and several other prominent personalities.

Earlier, Deepika made her first public appearance after Dua’s arrival as she joined global star Diljit Dosanjh on stage during his Bengaluru concert. Deepika and Ranveer welcomed Dua on 
September 8, 2024. On Christmas, they invited paparazzi to their home to meet their daughter and requested privacy. The couple shared a photo of Dua’s tiny feet on Instagram around Diwali to announce her name. 
In terms of work, Deepika was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, in which Ranveer made a cameo appearance. Up next, she will be seen in The Intern alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Ranveer has Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2, Prashanth Varma’s Rakshas and Anniyan remake.
