Chhaava Trailer X review: Vicky Kaushal deserves National Award, film will collect Rs 1000 crore; say netizens

The trailer of the much-anticipated historial action drama Chhaava was released on Wednesday, January 22, at a grand event in Mumbai. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film has Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna portraying Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Sambhaji's wife Maharani Yesubai, and Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

Vicky Kaushal's fierce avatar, AR Rahman's background music, Akshaye Khanna's unrecognisable look are the highlights of the trailer, which has heavily impressed the netizens on social media. X (Twitter) users shared their views and said that Chhaava will become a huge blockbuster and earn over Rs 1000 crore at the box office.

Chhaava is the second collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and filmmaker Laxman Utekar following their romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke in 2023. The film, which starred Sara Ali Khan as the leading lady, went on to become a sleeper hit and earned Rs 116 crore gross worldwide.

Initially slated to hit theatres on December 6 last year, Chhaava releases in cinemas on February 14. The release date has been specifically chosen as it coincides with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on February 19. Chhaava is bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Studios.
