Baby John box office collection Day 3: Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi-starrer Baby John may have had a decent opening on December 25, but the film continues to sink further with each passing day. After a double-digit opening, the film crashed to more than 50% on the second day, dropping further on Day 3. 

Trade portal Sacnilk reported that Baby John, which is officially a remake of Thalapathy Vijay's Theri, continues to suffer a downfall even on Friday. As per the portal, Baby John opened with Rs 11.25 crores, followed by Rs 4.75 on Day 2 (Thursday), and Rs 3.65 on Day 3 (Friday). Till now, Baby John has grossed only Rs 19.65 crores in India.

Baby John is expected to pick up at the weekend. However, given the mixed response, the film is not expected to witness a major jump in the collection. As per the trends, the film is expected to have Rs 25-30 crores in the weekend. However, the business is still not up to the mark and the movie has underperformed at the box office. 

Going with the names involved in the project, including Varun, Shrutika, Keerthy, Wamiqa, Salman Khan, and Atlee (after Jawan). Baby John was expected to set the cash registers ringing. But Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 continues to do so. Pushpa 2: The Rule is ruling the box office even in its fourth week. 

Directed by Kalees, Baby John also stars Rajpal Yadav in the supporting role with Jackie Shroff as the main antagonist. The Varun Dhawan-starrer is backed by Atlee and Priya Atlee, Murad Khetani, and Jyoti Deshpande under their banners A For Apple Studios, Cine1 Studios, and Jio Studios.

While promoting his new release, Baby John, with Unplugged Shubhangar, Varun revealed that since their family were good friends, he knew Shraddha from childhood. When Shraddha was eight years old, she had a crush on Varun and proposed to him. However, he rejected her, and that left her heartbroken.
