Alia Bhatt, Sharvari start filming YRF Spy universe film, reveal title: 'It's time of the...'

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari are all set to share the screen for the very first time in Aditya Chopra's YRF spy universe film. Now, the actress has finally revealed the title of the film in an intriguing video and also hinted at the theme of the film. 

On Friday, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari took to their Instagrams and shared a video revealing the title of their YRF soy universe film. In the title reveal video, Alia Bhatt is heard saying, “Greek alphabet ka sabse pehla akshar Aur humare program ka motto.. sabse pehle, sabse tezz, sabs veer. Dhyaan se dekho toh har sheher mein ek jungle hai. Aur jungle mein hamesha Raj karega.. ALPHA!”

The title of the film, Alpha is a front-footed declaration of sorts that these girls will cause mayhem on the big screen! This is a clear take by YRF to highlight a societal misinterpretation that only Men can be Alphas.The film is being directed by Shiv Rawail of the blockbuster global streaming series The Railway Men fame, which was also produced by YRF.

Created by producer Aditya Chopra, the YRF spy universe is the biggest IP of Indian cinema today. All films of the spyverse Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3 have been blockbusters. Meanwhile, YRF Spy Universe's next film after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Pathaan, War and Tiger 3 is War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji and is set to release next year. 

While Sharvari is currently garnering praise for her recent release Munjya, Alia Bhatt is awaiting the release of her film Jigra. Helmed by Vasan Bala and produced by the actress and Karan Johar's Dharma Production, the film also stars Vedang Raina and is scheduled to release in theatres this September.
