Bigg Boss 18 Grand Finale: Akshay Kumar left without promoting Sky Force because Salman Khan came late? Veer Pahariya...

Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss 18 Grand Finale is scheduled for tonight at 9:30 pm on Colors TV and JioCinema. Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya were set to promote their upcoming action thriller Sky Force on the Grand Finale and fans had been waiting to see Akshay and Salman's fun banter with all the contestants. However, Akshay left the sets without shooting for the episode as Salman arrived late to the studios.

A source close to the production told Hindustan Times, "Being as punctual as he is, Akshay turned up on the set for his shoot at the scheduled time, around 2:15pm. But Salman hadn't come by then. Akshay waited for an hour for Salman to come, but he had a trial screening of Jolly LLB 3 in his schedule. Thus, after waiting for an hour, Akshay returned without even shooting for the show."

The source added that several calls were made to Akshay to return to the sets but he declined them. "Akshay and Salman eventually spoke and Akshay told him that he had to leave for a prior commitment. Salman also said that he hopes to have him on the show some other time", the source concluded. It was left for Veer Pahariya to promote his debut film alone.

Meanwhile, the six contestants fighting to become the Bigg Boss 18 winners are Vivian Dsena, Rajat Dalal, Karan Veer Mehra, Avinash Mishra, Chum Darang, and Eisha Singh. The Grand Finale will see multiple performances from the top six, who will be joined by some other contestants who have been evicted in the show's journey of over three months.

Talking about Sky Force, apart from Akshay and Veer, the action thriller also stars Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur. The film is slated to release on January 24 in the Republic Day weekend. Sky Force is based on India's retaliatory attack on the Sargodha airbase of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965, described as India's first and deadliest airstrike.
