Aishwarya Rai has lately been in the headlines for rumours hinting at fallout with her in-laws after she made a solo appearance at Ambani’s event. However, her latest appearance with her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan at daughter Aaradhya’s school annual function event has put all the speculations to rest. It has been always the case that she had great admiration for him on both the personal and professional front. 

There was a time when an actor reminded Aishwarya of Amitabh during the shoot of Ashutosh Gowariker’s film Jodha Akbar. It was none other than Sonu Sood. During a conversation with Mashable, Sonu shared an anecdote describing his working experience with Aishwarya. “I remember at the beginning, we were doing a scene, and while she was talking, she suddenly stopped and said, ‘You remind me of Papa (Amitabh Bachchan).’ She is very sweet and a wonderful co-star. I have a good rapport with her entire family,” he recalled.

Further, Sonu also added that he has a close bond with Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan, with whom he worked in Yuva and Happy New Year. With Amitabh, he shared screenspace in Budha Hoga Tera Baap. “They are very nice people. It is always fun working with them,” he added. Sonu is geared up for his directorial debut with his upcoming film Fateh. The film, which also features Jacqueline Fernandez, is currently in the post-production stage. 

Meanwhile, Aishwarya recently attended Aaradhya’s annual function with Abhishek and Amitabh. Several inside pictures and videos of the event are doing rounds on the internet. One of the videos caught netizens' attention wherein Aishwarya held Amitabh’s hand, taking care of him as he walked towards the venue. On day two of the function, she was accompanied by her mother Vrinda Rai. On the professional front, the actress was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s period drama Ponniyin Selvan II.
