Mukul Dev Death: Famous actor dies at 54; worked with Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen, Ajay Devgn

Mukul Dev Passed Away: Mukul Dev, who made his Bollywood debut opposite Sushmita Sen in the 1996 film Dastak, and has worked with major stars including Ajay Devgn in Son of Sardaar, Amitabh Bachchan in Kohram, and Salman Khan in Jai Ho, passed away at the age of 54 on Friday, May 23. He also worked in multiple Punjabi and South Indian films.

Vindu Dara Singh confirmed his demise as he took to his X (formerly Twitter) account, shared an old video with Mukul, and wrote, "Rest in peace my brother #MukulDev ! The time spent with you will always be cherished and #SonOfSardaar2 will be your swansong where you will spread joy and happiness to the viewers and make them fall down laughing." Dara Singh's son also confirmed Mukul's death to India Today as he said, "After his parent's death, Mukul was keeping to himself. He would even step out of the house or meet anyone. His health deteriorated in the last few days and he was in the hospital. My condolences to his brother and everyone who knew and loved him. He was an amazing person, and we will all miss him."

Manoj Bajpayee also consolded Dev's demise as he wrote on his X account, "It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling. Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. Praying for strength and healing for his family and everyone grieving this loss. Miss you meri jaan...until we meet again,  Om Shanti."

Mukul Dev also starred in multiple famous TV serials such as Gharwali Uparwali, Kutumb, K. Street Pali Hill, Kumkum, and Kahin Diyaa Jale Kahin Jiyaa. He also hosted the first season of Fear Factor India in 2006. Mukul also appeared in the 2020 web series State Of Siege: 26/11 on the OTT platform ZEE5.
