Following the Jeju Air Plane crash in South Korea's Muan city, which killed 177 out of 181 passengers on board, the airlines CEO Kim E-bae issued a statement expressing regret and offered heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, Yonhap News Agency reported.

Earlier in the day, he Jeju Air Plane veered off the runway in the Muan city of South Korea and burst into flames, killing 177 out of 181 passengers on board. According to the authorities, two passengers are currently missing.
The plane, carrying 176 passngers and five crew members, was returning from Bangkok, Thailand. The incident took place around 9 a.m. (local time).
Meanwhile, the Jeju Air Company, assured that it will spare no effort to respond to the accident. Moreover, a company official remarked, "We are currently working to determine the exact cause and details of the situation".
As per the news agency's report, the aircraft has been in operation for the past 15 years with no history of accidents.
"After the plane collided with the wall, passengers were thrown out of the aircraft. The chances of survival are extremely low. The aircraft has almost completely been destroyed, and it is difficult to identify the deceased. We are in the process of recovering the remains, which will take time," a firefighting official said, Yonhap reported.
In a swift response to the tragic incident, South Jeolla officials increased emergency alerts and dispatched rescue and police teams to the accident site to assist those in need.
Moreover, acting President Choi Sang-mok arrived at the crash site around noon and instructed the officials to boost efforts for the search operations to find missing persons. Choi also offered condolences to the families of the victims, and assured them of all possible assistance from the government.
