RRTS Connect App: New features for live tracking of Namo Bharat trains rolled out; check out all details inside

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is enhancing the travel experience for passengers of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) with its new official app. This app, called the RRTS Connect, allows users to track the real-time status of Namo Bharat trains arriving at their station within the next 30 minutes.

The app provides valuable information, such as the next station in the direction of Delhi or Meerut, the distance to it, and the estimated time of arrival. It also offers a complete timetable of train services, including the start and end times for all days of the week.

According to an official statement, the NCRTC has made exciting updates to the RRTS Connect app to make travel on Namo Bharat trains smoother and more convenient. Available on Google Play and the Apple Store, the app now includes new features in addition to ticket booking, ensuring a more comfortable journey for passengers on India’s first RRTS Corridor.

Passengers can book their journey tickets using the “Plan Your Journey” option on the RRTS Connect app, with payments accepted via UPI, debit or credit card, and net banking. The app also allows users to access their transaction history to review details about previous journeys and download invoices.

The “Feeder Bus Services” feature of the app provides comprehensive information about bus stops near the starting point of the journey and the nearest available RRTS station. It includes bus arrival and departure times, helping passengers plan their travel more efficiently.

Additionally, passengers can book bikes, autos, and cabs at stations through a link to the Rapido app, addressing the crucial need for last-mile connectivity. The app’s station facilities option is a “true game-changer,” providing extensive information to enhance the travel experience.

The app displays the name and location of the nearest RRTS station, along with key nearby landmarks. It also provides details on drinking water and restroom availability, entry and exit gate status, and which gates are open for passengers. Platform information, train directions, and the operational status of lifts and escalators are also included. For those driving to the station, the app shows parking information, including the number of two-wheeler and four-wheeler parking spaces available. It also includes the complete station layout design of the platform and concourse levels, making navigation and planning easier for passengers.

Moreover, the contact number for the station control room is provided in the app, allowing passengers to contact the control room for assistance or send WhatsApp messages for help or suggestions. The app also provides information about major attractions near RRTS corridor stations and includes a system map to help passengers learn about all the stations on the corridor.

The “Lost & Found” feature on the app lists all recovered items, along with the date, time, and station where they were found, and includes the procedure for recovery. The “Report a Complaint” section allows passengers to register complaints and suggestions.

Presently, a 34 km section between Sahibabad and Modi Nagar North of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor is operational. It connects Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South, and Modi Nagar North. The NCRTC expects to complete the entire stretch between Delhi and Meerut by June 2025.
