Who is Neeraj Chopra's wife, Himani Mor? All you need to know about the tennis player

Indian Javelin champion Neeraj Chopra recently tied the knot with Himani Mor, a tennis player currently studying in the USA. The two-time Olympic medallist shared a glimpse of their wedding on social media on Sunday, January 19, with a heartfelt post:

"Started a new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after. Neeraj (heart emoji) Himani."

Who is Himani Mor?

Neeraj Chopra has kept his personal life largely private, so there is limited information available about his wife. However, reports suggest that Himani Mor is a tennis player with an academic background from Southeastern Louisiana University. She has previously worked as a volunteer assistant tennis coach at Franklin Pierce University and served as a graduate assistant at Amherst College, where she was responsible for managing women’s tennis, including training, recruitment, budgets, and scheduling. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Sports Management & Administration at the McCormack Isenberg School of Management in the USA.

The wedding took place in India in a private ceremony, with Neeraj’s uncle, Bhim, sharing some details about the event. Bhim revealed that Himani hails from Sonipat and is currently studying in the US. "Yes, the marriage took place in India two days back. I can’t tell the place where it took place," he shared with PTI.

Neeraj Chopra's Career 

Neeraj Chopra, who ended the 2024 season with a second-place finish at the Diamond League Final in Brussels, is gearing up for the 2025 season. He recently began working with his new coach, Jan Zelezny, the world record holder in javelin throw. Neeraj will be participating in a World Athletics Continental Tour javelin throw event in May in India, alongside some of the best athletes in the sport.

Neeraj has long expressed his dream of bringing a world-class javelin competition to India. “It has been a longstanding dream of mine to organise and bring a world-class javelin competition to India,” he had said. “I am sure that my fellow athletes and the fans in India will both create an experience that will be spoken about for a long time. I am excited to see how big we can make this.”

Neeraj Chopra made history by becoming India's first track and field athlete to win medals in consecutive Olympic Games. After clinching gold in the Tokyo 2021 Games with a throw of 87.58m, Neeraj brought home a silver from the Paris Olympics, further cementing his legacy in the sport.
