British rock band Coldplay performed at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday as part of their Music of the Spheres concert. Fans went to great lengths to attend the event, including one person who traveled from Mumbai to Ahmedabad to attend the much-awaited contert but soon after reaching there, he realised he had forgotten his ticket at home.
The incident was shared on X and quickly gained attention. The user recounted his friend's experience, saying, “Friend sat in train to Ahmedabad from Mumbai for Coldplay concert and forgot concert tickets at home.”
The incident captured the attention of thousands online, with reactions ranging from labeling it a "rookie mistake" to speculating it might be a publicity stunt. A user said, "Bro got so much excited, in a hurry not miss anything, lost all fun." Another said, "You can literally collect tickets from the box office if you forgot yours."
A third user said, "swiggy genie karne ko bol de," while a forth user said, "Abhi unn ticket ka havan karna dono milke."
Fortunately, the story had a happy ending, as the fan's tickets were successfully couriered to him before the concert.
Meanwhile, Coldplay held its biggest concert to date on January 25 at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, attracting over 1,00,000 fans to the iconic venue. The band expressed their enthusiasm on their official X account, sharing a photo from the event and stating, “Our biggest ever concert. Totally mind-blowing. Thank you Ahmedabad See you again tomorrow – and if you’re in India, please join us on Disney+ Hotstar from 7.45 pm.”
Ahead of their concert, Coldplay shared a lighthearted post featuring a poorly drawn cricket ball, playfully referencing Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah. The caption humorously said, “Even Jasprit might struggle to bowl with this badly drawn ball,” continuing the band's trend of playful nods to Indian cricket.
The concerts in Ahmedabad followed Coldplay’s sold-out performances at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on January 19 and 21, which were attended by various celebrities, including singer Shreya Ghoshal, who was there with her family.
