Mentalist Suhani Shah guesses D Gukesh's imaginary opponent and exact move in heartwarming viral video

In his historical victory, Gukesh Dommaraju rocked the chess world as the 18-year-old from Chennai made history by becoming the youngest-ever world champion by defeating China's Ding Liren in a grand finale on Thursday in Singapore.

It was a surprising victory for a teenager who had so far made it to the end of a 14-game championship series with a straightforward turnaround on the last match. Originally expected to end up at a stalemate, what suddenly seemed headed in that direction had its months turned upside down when Ding, the 32-year-old defending champion, committed one of the greatest blunders in the 138-year history of world championship chess. Gukesh utilized the blunder to make Ding resign after 58 moves in a match that lasted over four hours. The outcome of 7½ - 6½ rendered moot any continuing contest format for the next three weeks.

It has smashed to pieces the record, which really had been preserved for years, for the lowest achieved age of victory from Garry Kasparov, who won his title when he was only 22 by defeating Anatoly Karpov back in 1985.

Gukesh has also been taking strides towards becoming a household name by featuring in an interview with Suhani Shah, an Indian mentalist, mind reader, and magician. In the fascinating video, Suhani challenged Gukesh in some mind-reading tasks associated with chess. Among them was an instance in which she challenged him to think of a chess piece and its position, and Gukesh thought of Knight H2; without fail, Suhani guessed it right. In another round, Suhani asked him to think of a chess grandmaster while Gukesh thought of Bobby Fischer, and apparently, Suhani could read the mind. 

The video, which went viral fast, has already got millions of views and shares, adding to his rise in popularity even outside the chess community.
