Influencers are always famous among their followers, but one such influencer is being viral beyond her following for some special reason. She posted her spendings of the year 2024 by breaking down her expenses which amounted to a whopping Rs 50 lakhs.  

Sharanya Iyer shared a reel on her Instagram account where she broke down her Rs 50 lakh spendings in 2024, a major part of which she used for her travels. According to her, on her flights alone she spent Rs 5 lakhs. On her trip to Greenland, she spent Rs 3 lakh, for Iceland trip she spent Rs 2.5 lakhs, for a combined trip to Thailand and Laos, she spent Rs 1 lakh, Rs 8 lakh on a trip to South Africa, where she went with her parents and Rs 1.5 lakh on a trip to Madeira. She also said that she had spent approximately Rs 60000 on her "European Summer," where she won Rs 40000 at the casino, this lessened her overall costing during the trip.

Apart from spending on travels, Sharanya shopped a lot last year. She bought a new car for Rs 22 lakh and spent Rs 5 lakh on availing medical facilities which were not coverred by insurance. However, she made it clear through her social media post that these weremajor spendings and did not include small everyday expenses like "F&B, daily expenses and material accumulations.” 

Explaining this, she wrote, "I used to be such an obsessive Saver and spend sparingly on the 'big' things. 2024 changed that with help and advice and healthy pushes from my dad and friends. Not everyone needs to agree, but this has been my significant move last year, and it brought me so much JOY and a sense of safety in an otherwise difficult year. Here's to more of this in 2025!" 

Her reel has gained a lot of popularity online.  

Her followers and others applauded her for the way she spent her time and her long travels. Many were surprised that she spent so much money in a year. What impressed everyone was that she herself financed her expenses.
