Ambani's drinks milk only from THIS dairy cattle breed, know about it's superior quality

The Ambani family is typically known for their preference for simple meals at home. However, they do not compromise on one daily essential; their household sources milk exclusively from Holstein-Friesian cows. This premium Dutch breed is celebrated globally for its exceptional milk production.

Mukesh Ambani is known for his simple culinary preferences, enjoying Gujarati dishes from Swati Snacks and dosa from the modest Mysore Cafe in Mumbai. However, when it comes to milk, he opts for high quality. The Ambani family sources their milk from Bhagyalakshmi Dairy, a vast 35-acre farm in Pune, where more than 3,000 Holstein-Friesian cows are treated with care befitting their elite status and Ambani connections.

The farm provides these valuable cows with luxurious amenities, such as specially imported rubber-coated mattresses and purified RO water for drinking. So, what sets the Holstein-Friesian breed apart? These unique black and white patterned cows (with some also exhibiting red and white or blue and white colors) are recognized as the highest-yielding dairy cattle globally. A single Holstein-Friesian cow can produce an impressive 25 liters of milk each day, totaling around 9,500 liters annually.

The nutritional profile of Holstein-Friesian milk is notable for several reasons. Dieticians highlight that it contains both A1 and A2 beta casein proteins, making it particularly appealing to health enthusiasts. This milk is also rich in essential macronutrients and micronutrients, providing important calcium and vitamin D for optimal bone and dental health. Interestingly, it has slightly lower butterfat levels, ranging from 3.6% to 3.8%, compared to other breeds, which may attract health-conscious consumers.

These cows are notable for their physical stature as well. At birth, calves weigh around 50 kg, while fully grown Holstein-Friesian cows can weigh up to 750 kg. Their strong genetic makeup allows them to adapt effectively to different climates and management systems, making them a popular choice on dairy farms worldwide.

The breed's outstanding qualities go beyond just milk production. Their efficient feed-to-milk conversion and impressive longevity make them economically beneficial for dairy farmers. These traits, along with their ability to produce milk high in butterfat and protein—crucial for dairy products like cheese and yogurt—have made Holstein-Friesians the top choice in the dairy industry.
