In a recent interview, Samay revealed that he is currently pursuing a three-year graduation course in acting at Thakur College in Mumbai. He said, “I’m learning the finer details of acting now. I’m among the few lucky ones who got the opportunity to act first and study the craft later.”

Samay began working on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah when he was just 7 years old.

2.From a traditional Marwari family

While on screen, he plays the role of a fun-loving Sikh boy, Samay clarified that in real life, he hails from a traditional Marwari family. “My character Gogi belongs to a Sikh family, but in reality, I’m from the Marwar region near the Gujarat-Rajasthan border,” he shared.

Over the years, Samay has had the chance to learn acting directly from veterans on set, especially Dilip Joshi, who plays the iconic Jethalal.

“If I’ve learned anything on the set, it’s from Dilip Sir. He doesn’t just tell us how to act, he sometimes performs our characters himself to show us what to do. That has taught me a lot,” said Samay.

4.Tapu Sena

Talking about Tapu Sena, Samay revealed that he shares a bond with both the old and new Tapu actors. However, he shares a closer bond with Bhavya Gandhi, the original Tapu. 

5.Bhavya is his cousin

Why? Because Bhavya is actually his cousin, “He’s my aunt’s son and we worked together for a long time, so our friendship is stronger,” Samay added.
