Hulk Hogan, the legendary WWE wrestler, died at the age of 71 on Thursday morning, i.e., July 24, TMZ Sports reported. As per the report, medical professionals were rushed to Hogan's home in Clearwater, Florida, with operators saying that the call was regarding a "cardiac arrest".
Moreover, several police cars and EMTs were parked outside Hogan's residence while the WWE icon was being carried out on a stretcher into an ambulance, the report suggested. His demise comes weeks after his wife, Sky, turned down rumours suggesting he was in a coma, saying her husband's heart was "strong".
Just earlier this year, rumours were circulating that the WWE icon was on his "deathbed". Later, sources close to him confirmed that he was doing fine. In a post on 'X', WWE paid a heartfelt tribute to Hogan, extending condolences to his family and friends.
"WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans", it wrote.

Hulk Hogan, the WWE's 'hall of fame' wrestler, became a household name and one of the most popular wrestlers of all-time with the then-WWF in the 1980s, Hindustan Times reports. From being a regional wrestler to a global icon, he rose to fame in the 1980s.
With his superhuman size and a unique style of his own, he became a pop culture icon, winning six WWE titles. Interestingly, Hogan had also appeared in film and TV shows.
