BIG Update on EPFO: Panel retains 8.25% interest rate on employees' provident fund for 2024-25

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has kept the  8.25% interest rate on employees’ provident fund (EPF) deposits unchanged for 2024-25, according to sources.

The EPFO slightly increased the EPF interest rate in February 2024, from 8.15% in 2022–2023 to 8.25% for 2023–2024.

 In March 2022, EPFO reduced the interest rate on EPF for 2021–2022 from 8.5% in 2020–2021 to an all-time low of 8.1% for its seven crore+ users.
