Amid divorce rumours from Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhanashree Verma bashes trolls: 'My silence is not...'

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal tied the knot with a dentist, YouTuber, and choreographer Dhanashree Verma tied the knot with each other in December 2020. Four years after their marriage, there are now rumours that the couple is headed for a divorce as the husband and wife have unfollowed each other on Instagram.

On Wednesday, January 8, Dhanashree broke her silence on her and Chahal's divorce rumours and slammed trolls for her "character assassination." She also shared that her silence is a sign of her strength and not weakness. As fans had been blaming her for their separation, she said that she doesn't need to justify anything and the truth will eventually be revealed soon.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Verma wrote, "The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact- checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate. I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity. My silence is not a sign of weakness; but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification. Om Namah Shivaay."

While Chahal has not directly addressed the divorce rumours, he had been sharing cryptic notes on her Instagram. On Tuesday, January 7, he shared a note that read, "Silence is a profound melody, for those who can hear it above all the noise - Socrates", meaning that he will continue to remain silent amid these troubling times.
