Vaibhav Kokat’s tweet gained significant traction, raising concerns about the implications of such appointments on the bureaucratic system.
Many shocking revelations have come to light so far in the trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar case. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday announced a series of actions against controversial trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar, who is accused of using fraudulent means to secure a position in the civil service. The Commission said it has filed a first information report (FIR) with the police and issued a show cause notice for the cancellation of her candidature of the civil services examination 2022 as well as seeking her debarment from future examinations.
In a recent turn of events, the appointment of Pooja Khedkar, a former IAS officer's daughter, has drawn attention and discussion across the country. The dispute started when Vaibhav Kokat questioned both state and federal administrative procedures by pointing out anomalies in her appointment process in a tweet on X (previously Twitter).
Vaibhav Kokat, who brought attention to the Pooja Khedkar case, is a native of Maharashtra's Beed region. He has written about a range of social and political issues and has experience working with PR firms. He has over 29,000 followers on his X handle.
Pooja Khedkar was reported to have used unauthorized blue/amber lights on her car. Pune Police seized Puja Khedkar's private Audi car. Khedkar used a red and blue beacon along with a VIP number plate on Audi, violating the Motor vehicles Act. Additionally, she had illegally inscribed 'Maharashtra Government' on the car. The car has also been fined Rs 26,000 for a total of 21 traffic violations. Discussions on the UPSC's credibility and the efficiency of state administrations were sparked by this revelation.
The incident has sparked discussions on administrative integrity and the need for stringent oversight in bureaucratic appointments. The Pooja Khedkar case draws attention to larger problems in India's civil services, showing the importance of ethical conduct and adherence to regulations in public service appointments.
