A government school building collapsed in Piplodi village of Jhalawar district of Rajasthan during morning prayer. At least 4 dead, several are reportedly trapped under the debris.
Rajasthan: A government school building collapsed in Piplodi village of Jhalawar district of Rajasthan during morning prayer at 8:30 am. At least 6 students are reportedy dead, while several students, teacher and staff memebers are reportedly injured, as they were under the debris.
All trapped individuals were reportedly pulled out during the rescue operation, at least 4 JCB were deployed. Injured are being taken to Manohar thana CHC for emergency treatment, those who sustained severe injuries were referred to big hospitals. Villagers helped in remove the debris and rescue the student safely.
The roof is said to be collapsed due to heavy rain as the school building was in a dilapidated condition.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma alos took to his X and expressed grief, he said, 'The tragic accident caused by the collapse of a school roof in Peeplodi, Jhalawar, is extremely sad and heart-wrenching.'
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over the incident on his X. He wrote, 'In Manoharthana, Jhalawar, reports are coming in of a government school building collapsing, causing casualties among several children and teachers. I pray to God for minimal loss of life and a speedy recovery for the injured.'
PM Modi via PMO office on X, expressed grief and prayed for speedy recovery of injured. He said, 'The mishap at a school in Jhalawar, Rajasthan, is tragic and deeply saddening. My thoughts are with the affected students and their families in this difficult hour. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. Authorities are providing all possible assistance to those affected.'
