The buzz over BJP's chief ministerial pick has intensified after party's victory.
BJP made a grand return to power in Delhi after a gap of more than 26 years, winning 48 seats in the 70-member Assembly. AAP won 22 seats while the Congress drew a blank. Pravesh Verma's political currency skyrocketed with his stupendous victory over AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi by 4,089 votes, positing him as a potential claimant to the top post in the upcoming BJP government.
Exit polls have predicted that BJP will win comfortable victory in the polls with AAP falling behind and Congress continuing its dismal show.
AAP leaders, however, said that exit polls have always predicted the party winning less seats than it actually gets. They expressed confidence of party retruning to power.
Key seats include New Delhi, where AAP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is fray against Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit and Parvesh Verma of BJP.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is facing contest from BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress candidate Alka Lamba. The campaign saw sharp exchanges between leaders of the three parties.
Here are the live updates:

AAP secured a vote share of 43.57 per cent, down from 53.57 per cent in the 2020 polls. This time it was restricted to only 22 seats. The BJP, which is returning to power, secured a vote share of 45.56 per cent and won 48 seats.
"The people of Delhi have been crying after seeing the condition of Yamuna as the AAP-DA in Delhi has insulted this faith. For their own failure, such a big accusation has been made on the people of Haryana. I have pledged during the election campaign that we will make Yamuna ji the identity of Delhi. I know this is not very difficult. No matter how much time is taken, no matter how much energy is used, but if the resolve is strong, then blessings of Yamuna ji will remain with us," he said.
