Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections 2025 LIVE Updates: Voting for the Delhi assembly elections has concluded. It began at 7 am across all 70 constituencies and concluded at 6 pm.
Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections 2025 LIVE Updates: Polling for 70 assembly seats began on Wednesday morning in Delhi, as voters cast their ballots for the 8th Assembly amid tight security. Voting commenced at 7.00 am and will continue till 6.00 pm, officials said. Delhi has 1,56,14,000 registered voters, including 83,76,173 males, 72,36,560 females, and 1,267 third-gender voters. The electorate also includes 2,39,905 first-time voters aged 18-19, 1,09,368 elderly voters aged 85 and above, and 79,885 persons with disabilities. Around 97,955 personnel and 8,715 volunteers have been deployed for the elections. Security measures include 220 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), 19,000 Home Guards, and 35,626 Delhi Police personnel, ensuring peaceful polling. To promote inclusivity, 70 polling stations will be exclusively managed by women staff, and another 70 will be run entirely by persons with disabilities.

Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal along with his family cast his vote in the Delhi Assembly polls underway on Wednesday. Kejriwal along with his wife Sunita Kejriwal and his parents, Gobind Ram Kejriwal and Gita Devi cast their vote at Lady Irwin Senior Secondary School. AAP Chief while talking to the media appealed to the people to vote for the development of Delhi. "My parents were very excited to cast their votes, and they have put in all their efforts to do that. I appeal to the people of Delhi to come out and cast their votes for the development of Delhi. The one who will work for Delhi will get the votes of the public," Arvind Kejriwal said.
After a sluggish turnout in the first two hours of the polling, a voter turnout of 19.95 per cent was recorded till 11 am on Wednesday in the single-phase Delhi assembly elections, as per the Election Commission of India.According to the ECI, the highest turnout was recorded in the North East district with 24.87 per cent among all districts of the national capital followed by the Shahdara district with 23.30 per cent while the Central district recorded the lowest turnout of 16.46 per cent. The South West district recorded a turnout of 21.90 per cent, New Delhi 16.80 per cent, East 20.03 per cent, North 18.63 per cent, North West 19.75 per cent, South 19.75 per cent, South East 19.66 per cent and West 17.67 per cent, as of 11 am. Meanwhile, the Milkipur assembly constituency recorded a turnout of 29.86 per cent in the bye-assembly elections.

The national capital recorded a slow voter turnout of 8.10 per cent as of 9 am in the single-phase Delhi assembly elections, as per the Election Commission of India. North East district of Delhi recorded the highest turnout of 10.70 per cent among all districts of the national capital followed by South West district with 9.34 per cent.
The New Delhi district recorded a sluggish turnout of 6.51 per cent. As per the ECI, the Central district recorded a turnout of 6.67 per cent, East 8.21 per cent, North 7.12 per cent, North West 7.66 per cent, Shahdara 8.92 per cent, South 8.43 per cent, South East 8.36 per cent and West 6.76 per cent.
Meanwhile, the Milkipur assembly constituency recorded a turnout of 13.34 per cent in the bye-assembly elections. The Erode (East) constituency of Tamil Nadu witnessed a turnout of 10.95 per cent as of 9 am in the bypolls.
