Playback singer Monali Thakur was hospitalized after experiencing severe breathing difficulties during a live performance at the Dinhata Festival. The singer, known for hits like Sawaar Loon and Moh Moh Ke Dhaage, was taken to the Dinhata Sub-District Hospital and later admitted to a private hospital in Cooch Behar, where she is currently undergoing treatment. 

So far, the singer has not shared any health updates on social media yet.

While performing at the Dinhata Festival in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, Monali suddenly faced breathing difficulties on stage. As her condition worsened, she was forced to abandon her performance and seek medical attention. An eyewitness stated that she appeared in distress, and her team quickly intervened. She was immediately provided medical assistance within minutes, and the ambulance arrived and took the singer to the hospital. 

Earlier, Monali grabbed attention when she abruptly stopped her concert in Varanasi citing mismanagement. She flagged the issue of the improper stage setup raising concerns about the risk of an ankle injury. The video, from the concert showing Monali expressing her disappointment, went viral. She apologised to fans, "We were so excited to perform, but the condition here is disappointing," she said. 

“I'm accountable to all of you, and I appreciate your support," Monali said. "I hope to grow to a point where I can take full responsibility for my shows and not rely on unreliable individuals. I sincerely apologize for shutting down the show, but I promise to return and deliver a much better experience for you all. Please forgive us," she added.

Monali has earned numerous prestigious awards for her soulful voice. Her notable accolades include a National Film Award for Moh Moh Ke Dhaage from Dum Laga Ke Haisha and a Filmfare Award for Sawaar Loon from Lootera.
