Max box office collection Day 3: Kiccha Sudeep's film scores highest opening weekend, surpasses Pushpa 2, earns...

Kiccha Sudeep's latest actioner Max has created history in the Kannada film industry, also known as Sandalwood. Vijay Karthikeyan-directorial opened with much fanfare and earned positive reviews from critics and audiences. The movie was released on December 25, coinciding with Christmas. The film opened well, earning Rs 8.7 crores. On the second day, December 26 (Thursday), the film suffered a big drop of 50% and earned Rs 3.85 crores. 

The trade tracking portal Sacnilk has published the Day 3 data of Max, and till 8 pm, the movie earned Rs 3.08 crores on Friday. As per the data, in three days Max has earned Rs 15.63 crores. The third day is expected to end at 3.50 crores, taking the first three-day total to more than 16 crores. 

Going with these statistics, Max will score the highest opening weekend in Kannada, surpassing even Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2. Sukumar's directorial collected only Rs 3.55 crores in its first weekend. Till now, the record for the biggest opening of a Kannada film is with Upendra's UI, which collected Rs 16.21 crores.
