Justin Baldoni has become the center of the controversy at the time, having both directed and acted alongside Lively in the movie It Ends With Us
Blake Lively, an actress known for having spoken on controversial issues from the beginning, finds herself embroiled in a new controversy. In her complaint, she accuses Justin Baldoni of sexually harassing her during scenes requiring kissing. She further claims that Baldoni purposefully violated her privacy, with inappropriate actions that proved to be a direct extraction from the underlying of her personal-boundary invasion. Besides other bits of public attention, there is heightened interest in Lively describing that Baldoni's PR team is conducting smear campaigns against herself, manipulating his being famous as putting him on a stand that he should not be blamed against anything at all.
Justin Baldoni has become the center of the controversy at the time, having both directed and acted alongside Lively in the movie It Ends With Us. The nucleus of the lawsuit entails a series of messages said to be leaked to the public. Lively alleges that these messages were deliberately leaked by Baldoni's publicists as part of a smear campaign against her. According to her representatives, these communications were legitimately obtained through a civil subpoena. However, questions linger concerning where they were extracted from, how were those private messages accessed, and whether that process obeyed legal standards. Lively takes this case against core tenets of the law, opening the contract to question.
Jonesworks, the public relations company that had previously collaborated with Baldoni, has also been engaged to work on this movie. The source opinions that a publicist at Jonesworks, who had experience of representing Baldoni, ended up in internal feuds and, therefore, was the one allegedly leaking texts. It will always be questionable how these texts became public in the course of the proceedings.
Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has emphatically denied the allegations, arguing that the leaked texts allegedly implicate the actor due to improper interpretations. He claimed, "They know what the truth is, which is far different from what they have characterized in the complaint," because he said that Lively's team distorted facts to fit whatever narrative they were making.
Stephanie Jones, the founder of Jonesworks, and her legal representatives are defending their actions, saying they had a legal obligation to respond to a subpoena. "Now, aiming to shift attention away from their disgraceful smear campaign of Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni's team is doubling down on their defamations by attacking someone who had absolutely nothing to do with this ugly campaign," claimed her attorney, Kristin Tahler.
The case has escalated into a dramatic saga of conflicting allegations, behind-the-scenes PR battles, and heated legal disputes. The whole world seems to be paying attention as both sides refuse to back down.
