Riya Kunjankumar Shah bagged an All India Rank (AIR) 2 in the Chartered Accountant (CA) final November 2024 results, announced on Friday. 

Shah, a native of Gujarat's Ahmedabad, achieved this significant milestone at just the age of 22. She secured 83.50 per cent (501 marks out of 600). 

In a conversation with The Indian Express, Riya Shah expressed glee over her success and said, “Since I was not interested in Science subjects, I opted for Commerce in Class 11. I developed a liking for Statistics and Accounts subjects. I got interested in CA as it is the most esteemed profession in the Commerce stream". 

Background 

A native of Gujarat's Ahmedabad, Riya Shah's father works as an administrator in a medical college and her mother is a homemaker. Providing details about her preparation for the final exams, Shah told the publication, "I would follow a strict schedule of waking up at 4 am and sleeping at 8 pm. The routine went on till November exams."

Riya shares the 'Mantra' of her success 

On being asked about the "Mantra" of her success, Riya Shah revealed that consistency is the key and emphasised that one needs to study for 10-12 hours everyday.
