The current leading run-scorer of the series expressed admiration for Bumrah, saying he looks forward to telling his grandchildren about facing the Indian pacer
In the ongoing Border-Gavaskar series, Travis Head has emerged as one of the few batters who seems to have an answer to Jasprit Bumrah's brilliance. The Australian left-hander has only been dismissed once by Bumrah, even after facing his fiery spells. Head scored 89 in the second innings in Perth, showing resilience against India's spearhead, who is now regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers by many, including Head himself.
"Jasprit is probably going to go down as one of the greatest fast bowlers to play the game," Head said.
Bumrah was sensational in the first Test in Perth. His unorthodox action and late release troubled Australian batters as he claimed 5-30 in the first innings and followed it with 3-42 in the second, leading India to a commanding 295-run victory.
Head, after a slow start with just 11 runs in his first innings, has been in red-hot form since, scoring 89, 140, and 152 in his next three innings. His performances have been important, especially in Australia’s pink-ball Test victory, leveling the series at 1-1.

Bumrah’s achievements in Australia have been remarkable. During the third Test in Brisbane, he surpassed Kapil Dev to become India’s leading Test wicket-taker in Australia, with 53 dismissals. The 31-year-old, who has battled career-threatening back injuries, is the leading bowler of the series with 21 wickets at an incredible average of 10.90.
